Help owner of a 2010 HSE with the short run rear calipers

I am the owner of a LR4 early in the VIN run. Apparently these have a slightly different rear caliper than later models. The problem is here in Canada most aftermarket brake suppliers don't recognize a production run split. Is there another Land Rover vehicle which used these same rear pads (ie. parts cross reference).

Suggestions and help welcomed.

Yes that's the info you need. I have the same earlier 2010 D4 with Aluminium rear calipers. Thumbs Up

I saw that thread and while very informative it doesn't contain what I need. Since aftermarket brake pad suppliers don't acknowledge two different types of calipers one has no idea what one is ordering.

I was hoping that there is another vehicle which used this same caliper for an entire model year run so I can use that vehicle info when ordering pads online. The stock Land Rover pads are $150 CAN which is beyond stupid for the amount that they dust..)

Poking around around it looks like there are no third party manufacturers of the pads just LR OEM.
$180 CAN is insane. Censored

TRW cross refer Land Rover numbers LR021316 & LR015519 to the same brake pad.

Borg & Beck (UK Supplier) give LR021316 as BBP1941 and LR015519 as BBP2091 so we recognise the difference but honestly the difference is so little they will interchange if you are having trouble with local supply

BBP1941 are 116.5mm x 46.3mm x 17.4mm with chamfered edges
BBP2091 are 116.6mm x 46.5mm x 17.1mm

If you put the 2 side by side or on top of each other you would struggle to find the difference.

How do these pads compare to a D3 rear pads for sizes?

I have upgraded the rear calipers to 2011 brakes, and the pads I had were only slightly worn from the D3 brakes and they just fitted straight on

BBP1941 we would give out for the D3, as I said very little difference in the D4 reference and many aftermarket suppliers rationalise to one ref.

Over here we get absolutely screwed with OEM LR parts. My local dealer quaoted me $230 CAN for a set of rear pads. I bought a set of premium ceramic pads made in the USA for $40. Yeah there is a bit of a difference.
