Wheel balance
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
I have a very faint wheel shake/vibration about motorway speeds, looked through a few threads for brakes etc.
Anyway I looked at my 2 front wheels and there is 12 little weights on one side and 8 on the other, should there be the same amount on each wheel?
I should add its a 12MY GS with the standard 19" alloys, just done over 22k

Weights are used as necessary, 12 sounds like a bit of overkill though, I am guessing they are all 5g stick on ones? It is normal for each wheel to be different.
Wheel balance shudder is often most noticeable around 40 and 80
If you had stick on ones and some have come off you may see a cleaner area where they were.Paul Redding

Also, the balance can change as the tyres wear. Sometimes part worn tyres need rebalancing.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Cheers guys
It's those little flat stick on weights.
I suppose there is no harm in taking it down to the tyre centre for a re-alignment and balance.
Also checked the brakes to see if any were hotter than perhaps should be, all seem to be about the same.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
