SATNAV UPDATE FOR 2010MY D4 XS???
New to this forum, so I am looking for some advice regarding updating my Satnav on my 2010 D4 XS. I have trawled the various forums but can't see a solution.
The dealer was unable to install the 2013 update because Navtech/Here have only issued the update on memory stick which is incompatible with my D4. The only update which could be done was the 2012 update which was issued on disc. Has anyone discovered a solution or am I destined to drive forever on a Satnav update for 2012?
Regards,
Alistair

Satnav updates ...
Hi there. I have the same issue. 2011MY HSE desperately needs updating. Last year we were driving off road on some roads that had recently been built. Very odd to see ... and this is driving in France and as there have been more road improvements/additions/alternatives, would really appreciate an update.
I have searched this forum (nothing to show) and also googled - but really nothing to report back.
Can anyone help ?

That is exactly what I was hoping to avoid ! Can you divulge costings (approximate) if possible so I know how much I have to rob from the bank

I was very disappointed with the OEM satnav. It decided I had reached my destination (about 60 miles away) only 10 miles from home and the traffic is hopelessly slow (AFAIK it uses the same source as the motorway signs) so that you are often in the jam before it warns you or diverting to avoid a delay that has already cleared.
So I bought the TomTom app for my iphone & a traffic subscription (total less than £50) which is as good as the £200 TomTom Go6000 we use in SWMBO's car - except for the screen size of course but it does the job!2010 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand on GY DTs (was on GG ATs)
I have the same TomTom/Live Updates setup and agree, it's fab.
All we need now is for some clever bod on here to come up with a way of displaying your iPhone/iPad on the LR screen Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! I meant CoPilot not TomTom, sorry!!! Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Member of Gloucestershire & Worcestershire 4x4 Response.

Yes I tried the dealer and they spent over 2 hours on two separate occasions totalling 5 hours, without being able to do an update later than 2012. Needless to say, I was not charged. As I stated in my original post, the incompatibility is that the 2012 update could be done from a disc, the 2013 update had to be done from a memory stick.
I have raised the matter with Land Rover direct and am still awaiting their response some 3 weeks later.
