roof box
Hi,
I purchase a new discovery 4 and now would like to have a roof box on it.
1. what do I need fitted on the car first? I think it is called a railing?
2. Where is a good place to buy and fit which is not expensive?

Does it have roof rails? ie the rails that run down the length of the car.
This image is of a Disco3 and it has the extended rails that run past the sunroof, but you get the idea.
If you have rails you only need bars. Land Rover sell them, and you can get aftermarket from Thule and others. We have the thule ones - the bars come out to the full width of the car so you have a bit more space, and can mount the roof box closer to the side.
If you don't have rails you need to get them first. Land Rover obviously sell them, and you can get aftermarket (certainly aftermarket extended ones). No idea if the aftermarket ones are any good, or how they fit - sorry.
