Evening all,
Taking my D3 into my local Land Rover dealer tomorrow to get fault codes read (£30 + vat), got the million dollar question, suspension normal height only!
Got a appx quote for a compressor replacement of £900-£1100!!
Had a quick look at compressor prices & looks like in region of £550 for new compressor, will it actually be £4-500 labour to fit up? Sounded a bit steep to me! IMHO
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
James

I fitted mine myself, couple of hours work but straight forward, followed the guide on here, reflashed ecu and been running fine since.

Cheers all..
Appreciated, don't mind paying sensible rates, but don't like getting the **** ripped!
Will see if the computer gives away any clues?
Will give you a shout Mike, see what they say.
Thanks again

Little bit steep even for a main dealer, but it will need software updating and main dealer diagnostics are not as fast as aftermarket, this is will help to push prices up. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Could just need a new dryer unit, height sensor, or even just a new relay or something else.

Hi james
Just had a new compressor fitted yesterday, might be bit far for you near guildford surrey at a dealer called guava, excellent service they did the job for £646 including vat, even cleaned the car inside and out, did loads of asking around, nearly did the job myself but the compressor is nearly £500 so i think i got a good deal

installed the new AMK compressor on my disco last weekend and it was absolutely no problem at all! did in in 1,5h with coffee brakes, etc.!!
had the LR installation manual and its just a step-by-step work! did not have to update the software! orange warning went off end everything is fine! SWMBO asked to get us a RELIABLE family car - I bought a Disco 3!

Well, got the diagnostics & surprise surprise "COMPRESSOR"!!
Dealer could haggle a bit so not so bad!
Had a DMF & Clutch last summer, compressor now...Hope they don't happen in 3's!!!
Cheers for guidance on prices everyone, gave me a bit of ammunition.
