I've just purchased some second hand lr side tubes but don't have special allen key. Has anyone got one spare I could buy or borrow.

What is "special" about it?

Buy a multi screwdriver bit set, the type that has loads of different bits with it
There is bound to be a special one in there.

Hi John ,
I will check with jason what size it was and have a look on my tool box tonight then stick it in the post if you want to borrow it to fit the tubes.

Cheers

Is it May Fools Day?

This is a wind up surely?

A complete set of Allen key is less than £10 but someone is going post one all the way from Yorkshire to Sussex and then back again to fit a set of side tubes?

I seem to remember the allen key has a centre hole to allow it to fit the head of the security allen screw. Thumbs Up

Exactly that. It's a security fixing with a peg in the centre.

I just beat the peg out with a hammer and punch then used a normal Allen key. It's probably a declarable insurance modification to not have the peg though Whistle Wink
