So far so good

Since there is a bit of doom and gloom about some peoples MY14's I thought I'd share the love for mine!

I hardly used it for the first 10days or so, I was just to busy to think about putting my kit in the back etc dealership rang me 3 times to check I was happy! Thumbs Up

But now I've been driving it for a couple of weeks and clocked up 1600 miles.

All is good and working as it should, as far as S/S I'm terrible at not wearing my seat belt but I now put it on so it stops at traffic lights etc....... Only time I find it intrusive is in narrow lanes while negotiating with on coming traffic.

It's even got dirty 3 times, nothing serious off road but one bit of off piste action would have been a non starter in my old Mitsubishi outlander. That said I had to divert around the obstacle rather than drive over it like I could have in my land cruiser 8)

And lots of other stuff in my shed, on my driveway or abandoned in the village
Several VW T5's
Mitsubishi outlander
And a Suzuki X90... Only drive that at night

I've also had almost 2 weeks of luxury, trouble-free motoring! S/S is not intrusive and works perfectly. Can fault the car at all...!

Do we get an off road day when we buy a new disco? Dealers not mentioned anything ?

Dans,

You should get a half day Land Rover Experience voucher through the post if recent trends continue. Worth doing if you haven't already done one and even if you have, might be worth a go. You always learn something on them.

I won a competition that Land Rover ran, they rang me up and said well done said I'd receive a LRE voucher. I was dead chuffed, I then got a letter saying the same but voucher never arrived.

I followed it up and nobody knew anything about it Shocked

A friend of mine bought a D4 a couple of years ago and his Mrs entered a comp in the dealers and won.

They were both flown out to Spain and had 2 days in various LR marques driving all over the spanish countryside.

He was blown away, not only going from a TD5 to a D4 but also getting the VIP treatment from LR.

His Mrs only drove once though, seems the limits of the D4 were more than her own limits and she scared the Censored out of herself and then passenged for the rest of the trip.
