LED side lights fitted
Just fitted LED side lights, the photo shows them brighter than they actually are. Don't know if they comply with the law or not. Will find out in December when it gets it's first MOT.

As I understand it, whether they comply with the law or not is a completely different matter to passing the MOT test. Go figure.
For a bulb - fitted to a motor vehicle - to be legal, I understand it has to be "E" marked. As far as I am aware, there are no "E" marked LEDs available in the UK at the moment.
An MOT tester is unable to check for the "E" mark without removing the bulb from the car (which they are not allowed to do anyway).
An MOT tester will only fail an LED sidelight bulb if he/she deems it to be of a blue tint rather than white. Mine have been fitted for a few years now and never had an issue getting through the MOT test.
I know there is at least one MOT tester here on the forum and several others who know the rules better than I do.
But that's how I understand it, at least.

Very nice
Must do that myself, if I can figure out type I'm supposed to get, tried trawling thorough a few threads on the subject, but could never quite get to a definitive type / part no of the bulb I need

As Wooly says, they will pass an MOT, but technically not legal, as they are not E-Marked...My D3 Build Thread
