Which diagnostic tool

Which us the best, most affordable diagnostic tool / cable + software for a 2010 discovery 4..
There seems to be plenty available for the D3, but the couple of companies I have contacted don't do anything for the D4...
Suggestions please.. Bow down

Probably the IID

Best advice is to search the site. This has been covered many, many times Thumbs Up

This question was asked a few months back on the Forum and depending on what you require. Currently 4 well known and tools for fault code reading and software updates plus CCF editing. Black Box Solutions do the Faultmate MSV2 and the Nanocom Evolution 2 whilst GAP Diagnostics do the IID Tool and last of all is the Bearmach Hawkeye. Plenty of info on the forum and discussions on which tool is the best but all are great at diagnostics and about what they are designed for.

It all comes down to your budget.

Thanks guys Bow down
I have searched the forums, but seem to get conflicting answers with regard to D4 compatibility.. Agreed all look ok for the D3, but a 2010 D4 seems to confuse things..
I'm an avid DIY mechanic so need something here in Oz, to be able to tell me what's up, before I start messing with things if there is a problem, as I had last weekend...

Rock crawl, low range, up hill..... "Gear box fault, terrain response program's not available" and the dreaded triangle and "!"

A restart cleared the fault till the next hill... BUT what caused the problem ?

Still after any firm suggestions, at the moment Blackbox looks good, but doesn't help with what the fault code actually refers too.....

I think GAP is the one moving forward, the others are resting on their previous success.

That's the way I'll be going..
