| Old Problem Different Car Some help pls.(Fixed. Alternator) |

Had to happen, i'v been lucky to have most major problems happen when i'm home. Alas this one i am stuck bobbing about west coast so am guiding SWMBO through the problems
She said past couple days warning light come ups after start and disappears then today outside school no turnover on ignition, multiple flashing lights and low volt power on radio.  she didnt say what warning light
reading threads it would indicate either Battery  , Alternator  or both i was thinking brake switch or bulb until low volt sign came up...
If was i home i would get the FCR in and read the codes but i'm not. My free breakdown service are once again in full swing to tow to nearest garage. Talking to the garage i suggested they get my FCR out and use it as its in the car next to emergency rope toolbox  but nope they will use their own and charge me the cheeky 's
Will keep you posted anyway on how it goes but if the there is any other feedback to the problem then much appreciated as always

Thanks . That was my fear no idea of the history on this part of the car so maybe that time for change. Suppose we should be happy its happened before our Easter getaway 1000 mile round road trip. Why does every page of the manual have fingerprints?

ok so with confirmation soon i hope that my Alternator is goosed and or the battery,
I have been scouting around and i see LRdirect offer 6 types. I was speaking with a guy on the phone very helpful and i was thinking about going for the mid range Denso PR2 half the cost of land rover and has a 2 year guarantee.
Anyone else used this type or is this one of those parts that must be Land Rover approved.

Update it is the alternator and battery goosed. The garage are fitting a Lucas model unit new. Total cost for both inc labour £500... Why does every page of the manual have fingerprints?
