How to fit Venture cam system D3
Well got a full docking station with venture cam from a L322, so time for some retro fitting in the back of the D3 I think.
the housing will not be used as it wont fit on the D3 I don't think but it not arrived yet so wil have to wait and see how , what, why etc.
here is the unit for info
I have it already enabled in the CCF so it already looks for it as I have it active, so hopefully when the on signal is sent it boots the camera via the 433mhz transmission.FFRR SC 4.2

It dosnt work as the D3 system is different to the FFRR electronics and the venture cam just wont talk to the D3s electronics, its a software issue
cheers

has confirmed he has a L322 touchscreen motor in currently,
would anyone be willing from that neck of the woods to do a removal of some loom on my behalf, as being the complete other end of the country its not really practical!!
would need the passenger side front dash entry area where the docking module is located wiring to the touchscreen, and if its has RSE the overhead complete rear roof console and the complete loom from it to where ever it goes, (this is unknown and would be a good photo opportunity for the forum.

[quote="Robbie"]Why would you want one of these? It was hardly state of the art back in 2004 and I understand it only gained popularity with the dogging community?
All the 4 connections are available from the OBD port (for testing), or for real fitment then at the head unit.
I wouldn't bother with the loom from the L322, you'll end up using only the dock connector and a short pigtail from it anyway. It won't be plug and play in the D3.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Before you spend a shed load of money/time on sourcing a connector, try wiring it up to the OBD port with temporary wiring to see if it works.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
