Kaymar rear bar and spare wheel carrier question |
|
Hi,
Has any one installed a Kaymar rear bar and spare wheel carrier on a MY14 discovery 4.
I am trying to find out if there is any issue with the reversing sensors.
Thanks in advance,
RC

I had one fitted to my MY13 about 4 months ago and have clocked up about 8000km with no major problems. I get the occasional beep from the rear sensor, but nothing too annoying. The handle that opens the carrier can get a bit stiff with accumulated dust from unsealed roads (it comes good after a wash). The trailer plug is difficult to access, however a short extension should fix this. On the plus side, there is a fitting to accept a padlock to stop the 'honest thieves' stealing your spare.
Check with Kaymar to see if they still fit the MY14.

Thanks for the reply.
I have been told the location of the rear sensors, unlike the front, has not changed in the MY14 so should be OK.
