Nanocom Evo Upgrade BBS V1.20 released

Yep, i know it has been only a week since BBS v1.19 was released but as i have previously stated developments are progressing very quickly here at BBS and so we are now onto V1.20.

The additions, changes and improvements are as follows

Clutch Calibration Application Added. Specifically called "The Transfer Case Control Module Range Change Clutch Calibration"- Calibrates the multi-plate clutch responsible for guaranteeing smooth, non-slip range change from High to Low range. This is a standalone function but must also be carried out after re-flashing the TCCM. Currently only available on 29-Bit cars.

Ride Level Module Flashing for 11-Bit added.

Instrument mode MAF sensor reading zero bug fixed.

Instrument mode 3.6 V8 diesel engine added.

CCF AS-IS File reading is now available in conjunction with Genesis

We were very close to adding secondary instrument mode pages in this release, but after the MAF zero reading bug in the first page, we decided to hold this back until next week, giving us the opportunity to better test this first.

I am sure you will all join me in giving huge quodos and thanks to karpouzi (Christian) and the BBS dev team in general for their efforts and will also look forward to what next week brings above and beyond secondary engine specific Instrument mode pages Whistle

As a side note this week has also seen BBS forge ahead in many other ways that will ultimatley benefit everyone.

Regards
Colin

How do you update the box?

Is it in the Kernel manager box in the restricted area?

Any answers in simple terms please

Also when plugging into the vehicle is it better to have vehicle running or switched off?

Thanks

Thumbs Up

Geoff might have a point here, a very pointy point Shocked Laughing

To get the best out of your unit, and to actually be able to use it for that matter I must strongly advise you to read the support documentation provided. We now include an updated user manual in each upgrade pack.

There is also a lot more info available in the download section of the website here: http://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/documentation.php

As the Big Cheese says, the team deserve a pat on the back, this was a hectic week and we could not get the second instrument mode screens properly tested in time. there is always next week Smile

Thanks

Chris

Can't get more simple than that,
What all 32 pages of them?

Evil or Very Mad

Do I have to register with some Genesis site as well?

There are some pictures in it also... Smile Smile but, there is an upgrade guide. On the same link, please download the "evo_upgrade_manual" for a faster way to update.

Genesis registration is automatic if you are entitled to it. Your account will automatically be created with the same logins as your nanocom website logins. These will be sent via email.

You are not normally required to run the engine when using the nanocom, more the opposite, ignition in position 2 should do it, but make sure you have a good power supply and a booster especially when flashing.

Having said that some procedures will require the car to be in certain states, but you will be informed of these either by the nanocom itself, the user guide or both.

thanks

Thanks for that
Now I suppose I will have to take it out the box and see what happens.

Well maybe tomorrow as I'm having a drink tonight and don't want to do any damage.

Is the updating section the same as downloading down the right hand side?
As you can guess computers etc are not my forte
Embarassed

Chris is it possible to change my password? In the edit my details it can't be done.

Thanks

Hiya alan,

I forgot to mention there is a demo video also available for upgrading. Follow this link,

&feature=c4-overview&list=UUwsWXJr_piaJD9UKSVMXiIQ

We stopped the editing of passwords while we introduced genesis as we had to marry all accounts across various platforms whilst keeping them fully automated. The functionality has now been re-implemented but we need to properly test it before going live again to make sure everyone stays happy. Should not be long before you can create a password of your choosing.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Colin, is there a simple comparison between MSV2 functionality and Nanocom Evo particlarly for discovery 3?

Also why it is not possible for bbs forum users to access the genesis forum?
