Swmbo and I are going to Switzerland in May with the caravan. Have been playing about with the D4's Sat Nav. I cannot find Switzerland in the letter codes. Help needed please.
Perhaps I should explain. I know where Switerzland is located have been there before but thought Sat Nav might help when there but cannot find the coding. Switzerland is on the map of Europe in the display but cannot find how to gain access. Please don't say "just drive over the border"

You will need a vignette (tax disk) for both car and caravan, available at border check points, these are only available for 1 year duration even if you are only going for a day The Swiss don't seem to like caravans.
Be aware that some of their "A" roads are equal to our "C" roads. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I looked for CH. Did not appear. I know it is there, but my sat nav does not. Need to give it a nudge and preferably not towards Spain. Perhaps it is not recognised as it is not part of the EU!
We went about 4 years ago and previous Disco could find it. I am aware of the vignette requirement but thanks for the advice.

Switzerland is just great. Head for Locarno on Lake Maggiore if you get the chance. Camp at Tenaro - Campo Felice (Best site ever)

Brilliant site spent two weeks and a fortune there. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

We are going to Tenaro. Anything special we should visit for in the locality?

Take a CHEST of money and cycle between TENERO and LOCARNO fantastic scenic route about 2-3 miles.
EAT in Locarno and use the free FERRY to get from TENARO to LOCARNO and many other FERRY stop offs around the Lake.
Other side of LOCARNO is probably the best Municipal Leisure Centre in the world with six outdoor and three indoor pools. A Glass palace with 36 degree outdoor spa pool looking ovver the lake & beach.
CABLE CAR up from LOCARNO to the Mountain above it. Great walks and amazing views.
FILM FESTIVAL at LOCARNO in the summer similar to Monte Carlo.
Loads more....

It's on a soft key from the main navigation menu... from memory I think it's called "Search Area". From there you can set CH as the country. (It's the one with a graphic of Europe with the chosen country in shown in orange).
I only know because I'm going there tomorrow... for the Geneva Motorshow all next week !
