Alternator fixes various warning lights. |
|
Hi folks,
Thought I would share the following with you as it may help someone in the future.
Warning lights on.
Air bag light for last few months - my diagnosis was that the seat is moved two or three times a day and a wire had been damaged.
Suspension light on intermittently - my diagnosis oh new compressor.
Amber and red brake light flashing - my diagnosis it only does it now and again so probably wet or dodgy sensor.
Battery light on constant 2days - , this is getting expensive, better get sorted.
After a trip to garage I was told a new alternator was required which fixed all problems apart from the suspension.
I have been told lots that there were lots of fault codes but none suggesting compressor failure.
On my return home suspension light on again. So I switched off and restarted the engine which cleared the suspension failure light. Lowered the car and lifted, seems slow and not in unison, front then back moves separately. I still think compressor from what I have read on here any ideas?
I was surprised the the battery light didn't come on first!
