Fault code P0622-29(2F), alternator

Hi guys, time to loose some money. Batterylight on, IIDTool shows charge 11,6V at both engine of and on (2500rpm).
Tool says P0622-29(2F): generator field terminal circuit-general signal failure-signal is invalid ( along with some other not related fault in other ecu's. )

So those in the know: full alternator replacement? Battery original, TDV6 auto, from 02/2009.

Agreed, you should at least have 13.5 V with engine running. Although it point to the alternator itself, you can always verify the cables from the alternator to the battery post, the post themselves and the control wires to the alternator just in case.

Thanks, will do that in the morning, and have the output right at the alternator checked as well.

Yep, alternator gone. Gonna replace the battery as well since it looks like it has had beating too.

GBP 875 for alternator and battery (Varta G14) plus the Dutch equivalent of MOT @indi. I guess that's not bad, still money easier spend than earned......

IIDTool was helpfull in identifying the fault so saving me a trip to the dealers. Funneled some funds to GAP but so far these kind of investments do have a decent return....

Hy, had P0625 code error
battery voltage was quite low, at idle and engine running (lower than 13v)
changed battery (150£) and alternator (220£ on LRdirect YLE500400)
now works fine, battery voltage 14,7 (at battery plugs and on IID tool) at idle and while engine running
take 2 hours to change the alternator, not difficult, exempt bolts and screws hard to catch Smile
