New alternator fitted but has created another problem..... |
|
I've followed the threads within this section and successfully completed the alternator replacement after standing on my head and throwing a few f's into the bargain (fan unbelievably tight and the bottom mounting bolts a real git for a shortarse like me). All is now well on the charging stakes but, in the time the battery was disconnected, my MPG display in the instrument panel binnacle has become fed up and disappeared completely. A mere trifle you may say, as we all know the MPG is going to be guzzling around the 25.8 mark with a wind behind me and the unaerodynamic missus hogging the passenger seat. Nevertheless, where is it hiding and how do I get it back? Is this another case for the Hard Reset that abounds these pages?
Your knowledge is my learning please..... I'm off to a party with the RNLI tonight. They may not get together very often, but when they do, they certainly know how to push the boat out.

Thanks Narpy; I might have know it would be down to the knob behind the steering wheel..... I'm off to a party with the RNLI tonight. They may not get together very often, but when they do, they certainly know how to push the boat out.
