Hi,
I have the problem with my tailgate.
I have it open at the moment after some messing around.
I managed to get it open a small amount then got someone to press the buttons in the dash and it popped open.
I dont want to close it again.
Is this the actuator? or the cable? or the switch?

Sounds like the switch on the tailgate handle if the 'two button push' opened it, if you're not sure, take the lower trim off the tailgate so you can easily access the actuator if needs be, but TBH when the tailgate is open, operating the release switch should let you hear if its working or not.
Still think the contacts under the 'rubber' handle are suspect though

Mine went on Saturday, managed to get into it and found the cable connector had snapped, effected a temporary repair until I an get a new cable. Excellent advice from this site  Nick
