Want to be sure before I buy and cannot find the specifications of these wheels.
Do the offsets on the factory 2013 20" Black Design wheels differ from other 20" wheels?
Reason I ask is I would like to fit the 285/50/r20 Cooper LTZ's without modifications. If not possible will spacers take care of the clearance issue and if so what is the minimum size spacer needed? Thanks.

Ok then could someone tell me if the 20" five spoke 'style 510' (option code 029QM) has the same offset as others running 20's with 285/50r20 LTZ's. Reason I need to know is that in NZ we need a compliance cert. for spacers.

Hi,
If you mean these:-

They do not differ from other 20's i.e. these:-

They are the same width and same offset, on both of these I'm running Cooper LTZ Zeon 275/45/20 with no problems, some run Cooper 285/50/20 but spacers on newer D3/4's may be required.

Thanks Darryl. Yes, mine are the top photo. So does anyone know if a 2013 D4 with 20's and 285/50r20 LTZ's will need spacers?, and if so the minimum size needed. Also I read somewhere that if you have rear A/C you need to make a modification. Is this true? Thanks.

I Love the idea of having 2 cars in one
Black one side silver on the other, and even better if you've got 2 cars with 2 sets u can do it twice
Or you could have them all the same!!! Doh!! LOL D3 HSE ........................Gone!!!

Ok, so after researching and reading threads until I went cross-eyed I just decided to put them on and I think I have made the right decision, has transformed the look and the ride feels no different and no noise. 285/50r20 Cooper LTZ on factory Landmark rims,(8.5j, 53mm ET) was 23mm clearance at top of front suspension strut with 255/50/r20, now there is 8mm. Turning on full lock (fwd and reverse) in access mode is NOT rubbing at the chassis extrusion but clearance is just 16 pieces of paper, so I will order the steering stops for good measure and not use access mode until stationary. Really like the larger rounder sidewall as well, great for rim protection, curbs etc.

Your car is really beautiful!! Congratulation!!
The new tyres fill perfectly the clearance in the wheels arch.
But, why you didn't you chose the RRS rims? It's 9,5J and it's the best choice to fit 285/50 tires.D3 TDV6, Zermatt Silver, Coil Spring Suspension, Tyres 285/55 R 18
D4 TDV6, Santorini Black, Coil Spring Suspension, Tyres 285/45 R 20

Thanks everyone.
The car came with the Landmark wheels which I like. I did consider all options including 18" Compomotive and RR rims and different offsets. I was concerned about needing spacers with 9.5J rims and 285's because of the upper front struts. Also did not want the wheels sticking out any further albeit only about 7mm (53et v 46et) Plus there was the cost! I know 285 on a 8.5J rim is at the limit but its not a sports car and I do like the 1 inch rim protection with the bulging sidewall.

I understand your reasons, also for me wasn't simple to choice the rims for 285/55 18 tyres of my D3.
Further, for 18'' wheels the choice of rims is really small, and I needed 9J wide because on 8J the 285 tyres work too bad.
At the end, I bought Arcasting Racer wheels, 9J 18 et45 and I like very much the result.
Anyway, apart to the look, when I fitted the rims with correct width the ride of my car is much improved.

Looks great
I think these cars suit a meaty tyre. Our own personal preferences.Black pack, Traxide D4-1U with jumpstart, Whispbar Rack, Nanocom, 285/50r20 Cooper LTZ's, Side steps, NZ spec-no DPF.

Hey Vs2
I've got these rims but with the 255/50/r20 tyres
For slightly different reasons to you I want the tyres you fitted so that I can still drive on soft sand, I'm concerned about the 255/50/20 tyres not having enough sidewall to 'bag' when the tyre pressure is let down..
What are steering blocks? cost/fitting etc? and why do you need to come to a complete stop before going to access mode? is this because there is such little room when you reduce the car that if you hit a bump it would bottom out?
