Service Indicator Reset

I have just had my latest service completed by a local garage @ 128k miles.

However, they have been unable to reset the service indicator. I have the printout that tells them how to do it but it baffles me too.

Anyone know how to do it?

It starts by saying - Switch ignition off, press and hold the left instrument panel reset button and turn ignition to position 1. keep the reset button pressed for 5 seconds until the LCD displays 'RESET'

A good start would be to know what the left hand instrument panel reset button is.

Any clues please?

Hi, I should have mentioned ..... So far I have tried the trip counter reset (I know that is on the right), the left hand info button on steering column and the left hand button under
GPS screen.

The button sequence only works with some specific D3's, so if yoiu've tried and it hasn't worked, you either need to get a Service Resest Tool for about £60 ISTR or get someone with a Faultmate to reset it for you. Thumbs Up

Or just let it be a problem for the garage to sort as I paid them to service it I would assume that it is their responsibility to get it reset

It was registered 11/04

It is mine although it was originally on a 54 plate. Changed it to that for the obvious reason of my initials and my wife's (mj) although she claims it's her plate Smile

Belgium 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Siberian SilverDiscovery 3

Hello,

The manual is speaking of a LEFT reset button on the instrument panel.
I have a MY 2007 and the only button that comes out of the instrument glass is on the right side of the instruments for resetting the day couter...

Is it that button?

Regards,
Glenn

What's the correct procedure on your 2004?
I will buy a OBD tool but i need to do it now.

I'm thinking of a Hawkeye, seems to be good.
