Faulty alarm/ immobiliser

Hi guys,I'm new to this and wonder if any one can help,I have a 54plate disco 3,last sat nite the indicators started flashing and the central locking was going ape, locking and unlocking rapidly!sunday morning I took the battery off to charge it as it was dead, had a look at the ecu behind and found the plug on top all green and wet, removed it,cleaned it thourghly and refitted it,perfect I thought, central locking working, indicators only flashing when locked/unlocked,started!ase I thought till I went to move it,the engine won't crank, done a hard reset and it starts but only ever once, trip to main dealer and £250 later to be told all 3 ecu probably need changing at the cost of £2650 and it may not fix it,when it won't crank the alarm led pulses 3 times then a gap then 3pulses and I get a msg on the radio display saying viechle fault shutting down,o2oo45 help please!!!! Big Cry Big Cry

It is a CanBus fault and it can be as simple as a chafed wire and frequently is. Most find the issue located in a wheel arch and can be fixed with normal DIY skills, making it a very cheap fault to resolve. Water and corrosion in an ECU happen too, but is thankfully less common.
