[For Sale] Webasto Oval timer and remote control for FBH - r
Removed from my D3 before PX, this is almost all you need to enable remote control of the Fuel Burning Heater on a cold morning. The Webasto timer is already wired to the remote receiver, so all that needs connecting are battery +ve, earth, and 1 wire to the w-bus connection on the FBH. Some D3s have a red wire already fitted to the FBH plug, whilst others need 1 pin adding - see the various instruction threads on here for more details. The battery connection already has a crimped terminal and 5A inline fuse fitted, and the cables are long enough for this box to be installed in the 2nd battery box, which is where I fitted it. The only wire you need to add is to a suitable earth point, of which there are a couple in the 2nd battery box. The timer can be set to whatever pre heat duration you want - I used 30 minutes which was ample to warm the coolant up. Just press the button on the remote control whilst the vehicle's asleep, and the FBH fires up! I'll provide a wiring diagram with the kit.
