Hi All - I need to replace both front tyres on my D3 - the current tyres are Pirelli Scorpion Zero's - having looked at various posts, is it agreed that a preferred alternative is General Grabber GT's for mainly normal road work but with regular caravan towing and therefore some wet field use
With the scorpions Ive noticed that they tramline and having worn out at 20K I think the mileage should be higher
Thanks

I've not noticed mine tramlining. Though I have had the alignment done 3 times in the past 12 months. Once at fitment, once after new lower arms and again when a new front bearing went on. I've only done about 8,000 miles on them though and I run at lower pressures 33/36 (20C) - did they tramline from new or only when worn?

Four new General Gt's arrived for mine this morning, I was in exactly the same situation, I am 99% road use about 1% caravan on wet field!! I dealt with Andy at AJS and did mine mail order and will have them fitted locally!! I fancied the AT'sbut realistically the GT's are more suited to me!!

I need to replace my front 2 Pirelli Scorpion Zero's too very soon... Shame we can't do a group buy lol and save some pennies!
I quite like the scorpions, and don't really want two different brands and patterns on the car as the rears are fine...
What sort of price are the tyres currently? It's better to burn out, than fade away...

Scorpion prices are about £130 inclg fitting - still looking for prices on Grabber GT's tho
Tramlining started when tyres had done about 12K

My Scorpions have done 44k and are still fine... More likely to be alignment than tread wear.
Where did you find them for £130 fitted just out of interest? It's better to burn out, than fade away...

Pirelli all the way. Only other choice is continental cross contact. All depends what size your existing tyres are.

The wear is even so I dont think its alignment
44K is amazing - you must take it easy!
