And so it starts.........

First of all...... Hello all! I've owned disco 1, 2, and purchased my first disco 3 just last night Rolling Eyes Glutton for punishment!

So, it's an '07 HSE with reasonable mileage but as far as I can see it's been washed and polished, had oil changes but little else - though it's recently had the timing belts done.

I'm a qualified mechanic so will be doing all the work myself and I have the ability to read and clear fault codes...

So, first up, I need to change all the discs and pads including the shoes. Is there anything I need to know about the epb before I start? They weren't about when I was in the trade so it's a little bit new to me.

And, the next question, which compressor's it likely to have? I've got C1A20 so will get a drier end cap and repair kit for the compressor, hopefully that's all it'll need....

Don't forget the oil pump. Yours is right in the zone for failing and taking the big V shaped turny thingy in the front with it. Thumbs Up

Welcome!

I think the compressor is most likely a Hitachi, assuming it is an original.. You can verify this (obviously) by looking at it or by checking what firmware you have in the vehicle for the compressor. IID at least shows whether it is the aforementioned or AMK.

Thankyou very much, yeah I'll be double checking the belts were actually changed and the oil pump too Thumbs Up

Got quite a list of fault codes out of it this morning but the priority's getting it safe to use and hopefully not about to destroy itself

All while trying to shift the three amigos on the D2 before I sell it, it's not playing ball Censored
