Air Con Pulley Bearing Removal/ Replacement |
|
Have done battle with this for 2 hrs this afternoon and the ing thing won't budge. Used one of those 'strap' type oil filter wrenches to hold the pulley and a 7mm spanner on the spindle....
I've got air con (?) pipes right in front of it (don't think all MY's have these here?) so space is limited. Had the end of the 7mm spanner stuffed into a socket with a breaker bar on it and all I achieved was zero!
Anybody got any tips? Looked at AF spanners, I assume it's 1/4" that's needed, but I'm not paying £30 to Halfrauds for a full set when I only want one.
To top it off I've got a feeling the noise is a combination of the Air Con Bearings AND the Power Steering Pump
