how much for a compressor

My dad is getting quoted about 700 euros for a compressor + fitting on his 2005 D3.
Sounds a bit steep to me, does anybody have a price 'laying around'?

The compressors are £495 plus vat retail iirc

Had mine done 2 months ago, think it came to £750ish fitted, and before anyone says that's a little steep I didn't pay for 2/3 of it. Shame the warranty runs out next month Rolling Eyes
