Parking aids susceptible to wet?
Hi all
I find my D4 parking aids seem to pack up in the wet and give me the message "cameras unavailable please consult you dealer". This is often coupled with the audio system switching itself on and off. Is this a common problem with the D4 and are there any fixes?
Really frustrating because otherwise I'm really pleased with the car but alarms going unnecessarily on dark and wet nights isn't conducive to calm driving.

Don't have cameras so can't comment on that but SWMBO has found a blind spot. Seems if a post is right on the corner and you reverse they don't pick it up and you hit the damn thing and cause hundreds of pounds worth of damage
Sorry not really relevant to your query but damn annoying.

Whoops! Should have said I don't have cameras either so alarm very confusing and fault annoying! There are old pilots and there are bold pilots but there are no old, bold pilots.
Same problem on the D4 mk 1 (D3). You may have a faulty sensor, which is allowing water in.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

End of rant
HWMBO has not found any blind spots on my D3 yet, she dosn't trust these electrical gadgets including rear camera, she still gets out to have a look and this is after 9 years of ownership. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
