another +1 - only an hour away from me. brake pads are getting close to needing replacement - would like to learn how to check my battery and alternator given some of the recent posts. but happy to watch anything deemed DIYable - if thats a real word.
definitely up for an overnight stay with beer - significant risk of forgetting what I watched, but hey ho, worth it I reckon. D3 Java Black 57 Plate SE, Night Breakers, Grabber ATs, Sidelight LEDs and best of all - Narpy torch. loads more to buy.

looks like we may have a knowledgeable Discovery man (Flack) to help the day go smoothly! So I think we may have all the ingredients now.
I shall have a look at some suitable dates and see if I can come up with a plan.
Just a reminder...
1. Will have to wait until the weather gets a bit better if people want to camp/ caravan overnight (fields are too wet this time of year).... so a couple of months away yet..
2. Hopefully Flack (subject to his agreement of course) may agree to show us how to fix "something" - he will need to be paid for his time/trouble.
3. Probably a Saturday pm followed by beers/grub at local pub? ......
No other "fees" for anything else.
I will have to work out the logistics, and a plan for the day so any suggestions would be very welcome and appreciated.....
ps Flack is doing my 105K service soon so I will have a chat and see what he thinks.... 2007 Base D3 - Buckingham Blue
Mods...
Off road "adventure XS" air freshener
Off road "My back hurts - GLX" lumbar support.
All Terrain Racing (incontinence) seat covers
SAGA GTX remap (30% power reduction plus max 2000 rpm limit)

Good idea .... just to back the payment of Flack .... my personal opinion ....
Think its fair to 'pay' for expertise..... as there seems to be quite a few willing to come ....
Even if we all paid an entrance fee to cover Flacks 'full day' price ..... it would be a fair and then some contribution across to the site.... win, win, all round...
We all get a good day out... Flack gets fully paid for his time on the day (personally I think thats fair) as he would have got the jobs potentially for the area anyway
Site get a little help also
Again just 'my' thoughts on the matter ..... oh a fair and a few bands at night would be good also D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

+1 for the North West too
Happy to support costs as suggested, bring beer, snacks and banter etc...
I currently have a PO405 fault code and EML on... So guessing EGR, but not sure it can wait for this to happen?
Also need a 7 year service/Cambelt change & Oil pump housing with it being a 7a chassis number... But that's probably for another day as it's so labour intensive?
Happy to watch and learn if nothing else, and always good to meet up!

Would I be right thinking we are waiting for FarmerBoy's field to dry out and then suggest some dates for it??
Then we see when Flack's free and then we all descend in tents and caravans?? Mark
