108k miles and cat D. Looks like something has actually collapsed at the back as well i.e. looks worse than just being on the bump stops?
Noticed that it has piano black H and vent trims - if they are OE they are like hens teeth and command a very good second hand value......

It would be worth just the side steps, wheels and a few other bits to get your money back. This could be my personal spare parts dept. need to get SWMBO permission and then see about getting it to strip and flog on. I've got the space, anyone else interested in going for this as a D3 strip to sell with me?D3 SE MY55 [gone]

If you have the space, the time and the inclination to strip I dare say that you could make some money if it goes for the price its currently at.

Which it won't, it's got 4 days to go and will probably fetch 10 times what it is now.
I wouldn't touch it without having it plugged in to diagnostics first, you could be buying in to a world of pain.

Has anyone bought anything from this website - just wondering what sort of reputation it has..... I guess you have to assume the vehicles a REALLY bad and bid accordingly? (although the D3 looks in reasonable nick to me) 2007 Base D3 - Buckingham Blue

Correct...a few years ago these sort of cars were going for a song, but quite a few people have twigged to the margins that can be made, and there are very few "bargains" any more.
A friend used to do some top-end water and flood damaged cars, but says that the prices at salvage yards has gone through the roof..."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

You have to be a member with a bank account to bid, membership IIRC is about £80 per year and takes around 4 weeks to set up, you could always get a member to bid for you My advice to anyone is do do not bid without viewing and reading the T & C's, it can cost a bomb if you are late collecting, all purchases have to be transported away.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I had a account until last month when it expired.Used to be great for bargains but these days they fetch too high a price and the good stuff seems to disappear. It is up to you to get the vehicles moved a soon as possible after the sale and if things go missing it's your problem.
It's because of this I no longer want the account , over the last 6 months I've been watching a few machines and they went very high with hours to go and then came back for sale the following month!!
To buy anything cat B you need to be a registered breakers yard with a EA license, then they put a set of wheels at cat B so buyer beware MY18 RRS Autobiography Fuji White

When one of our vans was written off back in October, it was border line cat C but after a second opinion they classed it as a cat D. It was run off the road and Landrover hit the front drivers wing and every panel after that including the B pillar. Three months later we got call from a bloke wanting to know how the side panels got damaged, they had put second hand doors, bumper, bonnet, wing and B pillar to make it look better than it was he was stunned at the photo I sent him!!
