I have an XS also with side steps, although a couple of years younger (MY12). you won't regret buying one as they are a brilliant all rounder. looks great, drives well, loads of toys, take it anywhere, tow most things and most of all - safe if you are in bad weather or unfortunate enough to be in an accident. I cannot comment on the price as I have not been looking and so cannot compare - but clearly you are on the right track using auto trader to compare costs and specs.

the HSE spec would give you a number of extras, such as electric mem seats, sunroof etc. I wished now we had paid the extra (had mine from new) but I am still happy with what we have. enjoy buying one - and you will get the permagrin that is so often referenced on here when you drive it.
D3 Java Black 57 Plate SE, Night Breakers, Grabber ATs, Sidelight LEDs and best of all - Narpy torch. loads more to buy.

D4 61 plate XS (12Mod Year)
BabyRRR - gone and completely forgotten

Personally, I think it's over priced.

I thought the same we bought ours last year it's a 10plate and had 50.000ish on the clock and it was HSE and paid £5000 more than they are asking for this. I'm sure if you look about you will get better one for same price. If you can or want one I would recommend HSE. I just love mine to bits Thumbs Up

Agree that it looks a bit pricey - main stealers are selling them for less...

Wait until MY2014 are more widely available in a few months. Thumbs Up

I expect D4 prices to fall once the Daily Express snow has cleared-up. There will be more of them on the market as others trade-up to MY2014s. I'm not a car dealer nor do I have any insight into this. I just expect prices to fall. Very Happy

A bit of wishful thinking and self-delusion here... Whistle

I think that the era of significant seasonal differences are over. There will be a bit of a change, but it's hundreds not thousands of pounds. If you see the right car in January, buy it now.

(This is my view based on selling cars both in the winter and summer. Good cars will get the right money regardless).

Not really, no.

Just working on the age-old principal that as stuff gets older/more abundant/higher mileage/etc. it gets cheaper.

Unless, of course, it's a classic Merc. Whistle

D4 prices are remarkably stable throughout the year. I maintain that if you find the right car, regardless of the time of year, one should buy it. Of course if you wait, and the car gets older, then - of course - the prices slide. Waiting until what passes for the summer may save a few hundred or so, but in the scheme of things it isn't hugely significant.

Plus as an 09 does it actually have 245bhp? It also states it's a TDV6 and not the SDV6.
I would leave well alone.

I'd be buying from land rover if possible. If that one was from LR I would consider it. But from an independant dealer I'd knock £1.5k off that price.

Buying from LR you'll get 12 months extended warranty and 12 months land rover assist, and £500 against an MOT failure.
