Hi All,
The leather (mainly front seat bases) in my D3 is looking slightly tired, no great actual damage but starting to look its age (like the owner!).
Is there anything that can be done easily to refresh the leather, should I get a valet chap to have a go or is it a case of either live with or keep an eye out for possible replacement seats?
Cheers and seasons greetings

Try a good Leather Balm, available on line from various outlets.

Wheeler dealers used a leather painting kit on one car they did. It looked smart on camera, no idea in real life. I think it was called re-connolising it.

Try Autoglym Leather treatment, it works on mine and leaves the nice leathery smell too. I just use it when I'm giving the car a good clean, drys quickly and keeps the leather supple and comfy.
Might be a cheap option to try first, give it a month or two to see what happens

The best on the market is Gliptone leather care kits. Slightly more expensive than the rest but the reason being it's the only thing that really works. Get a look at this site plenty of info.

+1 for Gliptone
I have previously used their Products to give the seats on my TVR a lift. Works really well, and has a nice leather smell.
You wont remove cracking without re-connolising (spelling???) but other than that it works a treat.
Havent got any at the moment, and have also been using Autoglym on my Disco for now. My seats aren't in bad nick but I tend to use it when the car gets a really good post holiday/post winter valet and it brings them up nicely
Cheers
Andy

+1 on the Gliptone, it's fantastic stuff, their cleaner will do a good job and the treatment stuff makes it really soft, it won't however correct wear or scratches
Re-connolising is quite common in the Ferrari world and if down well brings the leather back to a new look
Gliptone sell the finish and as said it's painted on with best results if it's sprayed normally using a hobby type air brush, as alway preparation is everything.
I plan to do mine and already have the finish (Alpaca) from Gliptone, plan to do it in the spring and will post results Mark

Think someone on here used it and done a write up with pictures. There's a few videos on YouTube worth watching to see just how good it is.

Another vote for the Gliptone stuff from me. Used it on a few cars with great results although I don't think it will rescue cracked or really knackered leather. It goes a long way too so is a good investment. Cheers,
Gareth

Autoglym has worked well on a number of cars I have had.
Certainly a cheap option

Sounds like the cracking is not something that is easily repaired, which is the main issue really on the seat bases. I'll give some of the other suggestions a go anyway as it can't do any harm.
How easy / difficult would it be to replace the bases of the seats if I could find suitable replacements?? ----------------------------------------

I have the same problem and have bought all the creams lotions and potions, all that won't get the cracks out, my mate had a guy who's does all the big garages round the south and he got all the cracks out and done a brilliant job for £60 I think, so he will be getting a call after Xmas. Another vote for Gliptone here.
They do a leather repair kit that is good also. I used it on my old S2000 leather seats when I got it as the black had faded slightly.
Looked absolutely perfect after !
