Rear Passenger Door no longer unlocking Help !! |
|
Well it had to happen while in France but the rear passenger door will no longer unlock so need to find out if there is a easy way to remove the door card to get at the mechanism so as to fix the lock or replace I can hear it clicking so it is getting the signal to activate but nothing happening, I have tried holding the black handle on the inside out while pressing the unlock button but no joy , if any one has a diagram of the fixings for the door card that would help or any other info greatly received. Two screws on the lower door pocket then lift the grey handle cover off to reveal four screws there and finally one in the back of the door latch under the round plastic cover. Then be brave and pull towards you starting at the bottom, carefully try not to bend as they can rip easy!!

Lower door pocket latch side will be the only tricky one, but you should be able to get it if you flip the seats

I would have to agree, mine 'stuck' on friday, didn't think anything of it, today (first time i've gone to use the door since) and nothing, can't even open it from the inside, it's seems to have completely failed. I'm going away for a week, so will enjoy a nice holiday then deal with it when I return. Am pleased to see it's possible with the door locked shut, I was stressed out about that bit, but much more chilled now I know its just gunna be a pain rather than having to 'break in' to the door to sort it
UPDATE: sent to garage as some of the cost covered by warranty, cost for the job £259, cost left to me £95.
