How to remove the door window seals as they are bubbling |
|
So how do you remove the window seals, all 4 on my 05 D3 are bubbling and need swapping not sure where to start removing them.

did it myself. Don't seem to remember it taking very long or involving anything more technical than a torx head screwdriver...... supplied by The Large One D3 2.7 TDv6 HSE, 2005 in silver.
2009 nav disc (thanks Wiggs)
2007 software upgrade (thanks Wiggs and Geoff) with 3 flash indicators, follow me home reverse lights, fog with side lights & canadian driving lights
D4 bluetooth module (thanks Wiggs again)

Done mine and best to with window down and be careful not to bend the new weather strip as they distort very easily. Two torx screws retaining the front doors and only one torx screw retaining the rear passenger door.

For what they are, the replacement rubber weather strips aren't cheap by no means even from TLO, however it make all the difference when it comes to appearances. Its a very easy job, and it only takes 10 minutes if that. Regards Tony

When I did mine TLO advised to buy from local stealers as he would not post the strips
due to too many getting bent in transit.
Iirc they are about £15 ish for the front ones.
Only a 5 minute job even for me
As anjo said put window right down for easieness
