Has anyone done this to rest their service message

Switch ignition OFF
Press and hold trip button
Turn ignition key to position ll
Note: If the service interval indicator function is not programmed the normal odometer and trip information will be displayed.
The message "SERVICE"will flash for 5 secs and then be permanently displayed.
Release trip button within 10 secs to display "DIST".
Within 10 secs press and hold trip button for at least 6 secs.
the message "RST" will be displayed for 5 secs followed by "END".
Release trip button.
Wait 10 secs
Switch ignition OFF

I thought you couldn't do it this way and it had to be plugged into diagnostic equipement Confused

Hiya,

Depends on your year and if you have had any updates done.

I've got a 2005 so in theory, needs to be plugged in to reset it, but I had some software changes to get my clock on the dash and that software update has allowed for this functionality.

I think it's 2007 onwards you should be able to do it anyway, but as I say, if you have had a software update it may allow it to happen anyway Thumbs Up

Chris.

Only works on 08 or newer Thumbs Up

Not sure how it works if the car has had later IPC software though...

Oooooo I was close with 07 haha Thumbs Up

Yeah I didn't think mine would work, but it did. I found a thread saying something about if you have had a software update but don't know why it then works Laughing
