Autobox ”shunting” - software update?

Morning chaps,

The 'box on my 05 oil burner is shunting when going from 2nd to 1st.

It's always done it, but seems to be getting more pronounced.

I've been flushed and reset by geoff. Which sorted the shunting, but after 1000mile or so it's back.

Do I need the gearbox software updating? Anyone on here care to give me a price, either on here or by PM?

There is/was a TSB about this, with the required software part number, I am sure.

I just updated mine on my V8 and it's made a noticeable difference. I did scare myself silly whilst doing it as the software download stalled first time around and the transmission and epb was all locked up as a result, not the kind of adrenaline rush I'd recommend to be honest. All solved with another go luckily! 2011 D4 SDV6 HSE
2008 D3 TDV6 HSE
2005 D3 V8 SE - left in Oz..

the bump patch only seems to be for the V8,s at the moment as far as i can see

Just to update this...

After the debarcle we had two weeks ago - http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic103579.html - and the updated software not helping much, I've just got back from meeting up with Flack for him to flash the software that Geoff (and BAS i believe) had conjured up between them.

Seemed perfect on the way home, so fingers crossed all is well!

Flack even tested out the firmware on his first and it improved his also, and he reset my FBH while I was there.

Yes the software update to the Gearbox has made a big difference to my car it is so smooth on up and down shifts now, you can hardly notice it changing gear.
