Hi. New here from NZ. Great site.
Selling my 2011 XFR and looking at the D4's. I need something more practical for exploring, towing etc.
There is not much info. here on the V8 models. Reason I ask is this:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...988499.htm
This looks like a nice vehicle with super low km but it is an import and I'm concerned about on going costs. The AJ133 engine is the same that is in my XFR so I have no doubt it is a good engine. Petrol v Diesel in NZ is a debate as petrol is about (rounding off) $NZ 2L and diesel about $1.50L but diesel has additional RUC charges at about $50 for every 1000km.
Gut feeling tells me to wait for a low km 2013 (8 speed) diesel and be patient.
I'm waiting for the owner to send the VIN so I can check the build sheet on the V8. Any D4 owners with the V8 that can share information? Thanks.

greetings from across 'the ditch' vs2, sorry I can't help on the V8, but our MY13 8 speed oil burner is a ripper. Good luck with your choice

Try AULRO as there have been a few discussions about V8 D4 and certainly not one negative comment, unless of course there is lead in the right boot. Apparently even then it is not too bad.
