Odd combination of lights or not

Hello

I am new to this site and to disco 3

I recently purchased a disco 3 2005 model with a 2.7 diesel hse.

On cold or overnight wet days I get the following after starting.

Amber brake light flashes,
Wipers start
Sat nav screen flash,s on and off
A pinging noise goes on and off
Internal lights flash on and off
Rear only lights flash on and off

When you drive away this continues for about 5 minutes then all revert to normal as if nothing has happened.

LR (Hunters of Guildford) said it was the earth cables but no change there after they had it for a day.

Any suggestions?

Do you get any warning messages on the dash info display when you start?
If so, it sounds to me like the battery is on the way out, or maybe just in need of a proper charging.

After a few weeks of problems, I had my battery checked by LR dealership and they gave it the Thumbs Up

30 mins after leaving the service bay, I had stopped and tried to restart the car.......... Nada!.
Called on LRA ...diagnosis? Duff battery.
LRA changed it out there and then and since then no problems.

My advice is to get a second opinion.

Can you recommend a battery as all the posts refer to this?

Changed the battery as suggested, but no difference at all, now I get the radio switching on and off at the same time as the other lights

Sounds like something is wet and there's a whole host of possible culprits for that. Big Cry
