Faulty rear view camera MY12

About 3 weeks a go I put my Disco 4 MY12 into reverse and it made a long beep followed by a warning a warning message saying camera fault seek advice from dealer the park assist button also flashed off and on.

I took the Disco in to my dealer and they apparently replaced the camera and wiring loom.

I got the car back home with everything working fine but the next day same again, so informed dealer this time however it was intermittent !!

The dealer said they would order a complete retro fit kit, had the car delivered back on Thursday and no cameras working at all fault is constant.
The loss of the camera is bad enough but what is worse non of the parking sensors work front or back.

Has anyone had this fault and if so how do you rectify it I am loosing the will to live !!!

Regards

Mark

Hi

Just to update my original post.

The reverse camera has now been fixed however it took 3 visits to the dealer, turned out to be a faulty sensor and not the camera!!!

Regards

Mark

Just how did I manage for 40 years or so without any rear view cameras or bleepers Rolling with laughter

You just don't know how bad it was, my first car had no heater.

It had trafficator type indicators, the wipers had to be manually engaged after you started the electric motor taking care to avoid trapping your fingers. The demister was a stick on strip heater, you had to buy an aftermarked stick on rear screen heater but as the car only had a dynamo and not an aalternator, amps were at a premium, so, with too many extras switched on it would grind to a halt, no load shedding then Laughing

No synchromesh on 1st gear or reverse, the dip switch was a button on the floor.

To start it you turned the key on, pulled out the choke knob then pressed a starter button and hoped it would start, then you fiddled with the choke as it heated up.

Aye, them were the days....... not Thumbs Up

Stew,
