Retrofitting TDV6 GS Model
Hi,
New member. I'm just about to pick up a new TDV6 GS (2007 model) and I've been browsing this site for tips and advice. I bought an "off the shelf" GS model because of the big reduction on offer, but was not able to add some factory options I would otherwise have chosen. Assuming all goes well automotively, a couple of queries on retrofitting:
- I understand one firm retrofits cruise control (we tow a horsebox) - is this so?
- Can a sunroof be retrofitted (kids like it) and if so, at what cost and without invalidating warranty?
- I read that there is an issue with seat comfort on S models (I am 6'2") - is a fix now available?

I can answer the last question, yes, there is a seat cushion replacement for the crap S spec seat base, its detailed in a tech bulletin,and no, LR havnt moved to this new cushion on 07 models, 'cause I checked with the service managers car when mine was done.
The S had cruise, has this gone from the GS?

Retro cruise control

hello
You can physicaly retro fit CC but need to get it validated by the T4, while your at it get the audio controls too at the same time (no T4 needed for this though, but since you have the airbag out of the steering wheel... 8) )
check a glass roof D3 and you will understand you can not dit a factory sunroof, unless you get an old school manual one (then do you really want to do that ? )
