Help with inspection of new D3 - Cambridge Area |
|
Hi guys and girls,
After owning my previous disco 3 for a grand total of 3 weeks before the gearbox had a massive hissy fit and the turbo giving up on itself I'm off to get another one tomorrow however;
It's had all the belts done at 105k, full service history mainly land rover but as of 80k or thereabouts it's been serviced by Grays truck and van centre.
Just wondering on a few things, is there any sure fire way of ensuring that the EPB is working correctly? Other than making sure it holds and releases?
It's had a new compressor so that isn't so much of an issue as making sure that I've checked everything else that could potentially go wrong as I don't want a repeat of last time.
I do apologise if there are 100's of posts like this but I've read through them and without taking it to land rover and paying £140odd an hour labour and getting them to check it over for 2 hours I don't know who else to ask other than you guys, the owners.
Cheers,
Chris

A few local guys to come with you ???
Quite a few threads have been set up where members who are v knowledgable will offer to go with you when you do the inspection and help point things out
Maybe edit the title of the thread to read : Help with inspection of new D3 - Cambridge Area
I am sure someone would help or make suggestions .... D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

Well I'm going to look tomorrow during the day so I doubt anyone would be around. Having someone come with me would be ideal though!
