Hi everyone, thought I would give you an update on this so that others can benefit if it happens to them.
On my last oil change, I noticed oil leaking from between the oil filter and oil cooler, not much, so i put it down to the filter not being tight enough. Wasnt too bothered since I was doing an oil change anyway. Went ahead with the oil change, installed the filter and turned 1/2 to 3/4 turns after making contact etc. All good I thought. After about a week, I noticed oil on the drive, and when I looked underneath, the skid plate was dripping. When I removed the plates to inspect, the oil was coming from the filter. I Cleaned up the area and inspected everything around to be sure it was leaking from the filter, and it was. retightened the filter (which was already tight) and checked the following day. all good. Checked everyday for 2 weeks and not a single drop, then on day 15, bang, oil dripping again. THis time I took it into my local LR for an oil change, since I suspected the filter was bad. LR informed me that the Oil Cooler was the cause for the leak, not the filter and the cooler needed replacing!
I managed to get hold of the TB for this issue and its my Gallery anybody needs it.
