They're Hella Twin SuperTones 003399801 - see about half-way down here
Having failed to get any sense out of Hella Europe, they came from Expedition Exchange in California for $58 + $27.50 standard USPS shipping = £44.75 according to my credit card bill and took just over a week from order. My helpful postman neglected to charge me the extra Royal Mail £9.10 duty and admin fee, so that's a slightly larger P.O. pension deficit for March. I'd recommend Expedition Exchange for customer service - they have a lot more interesting products.
They claim to be 118dB, whatever that is. I'd rate it as annoyingly loud, but not Spinal Tap eleven. And no, they don't play 'La Cucaracha' or 'Colonel Bogey', thank goodness. For the musicians, one is 300Hz and the other is 500Hz. It's a close fit to the back of the grille
I'm not sure whether they needed the included relay, but I thought I'd wire it in to be safe. However, I fully expect some electrical issues should I go wading to top of bumper depth.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
Chris,
You're right, I forgot to mention the need to unplug the alarm horn link in the top left box under the bonnet - I'd done that a few months ago when the topic first came up.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
