Got the glass in my wing mirror smashed the other day by a Freelander whose driver obviously thought their car was the width of a double decker bus.
Anyway, new glass arrived this morning so am looking for tips on a quick and easy replacement?Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Yes it can be a bit tricky to get everything aligned properly before pushing the new glass into place. Some folks on here have reported better success by gently warming the new glass with a hair dryer or hot air gun on low power.
Good luck with that.

Not what I wanted to hear. Was hoping you'd say it's a doddle, but thanks for the tip! What will the warming do? Make the glass or plastics more malleable and less likely to crack/shear?

Lots of tips if you do a search, the warming will make the plastic clips less likely to break.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Providing you heard a reassuring "snap" sound when you pushed it on, it should be OK.
You did connect the heating element plug before you put it on?
