Not hot enough?
Not me the car!
I have the Petrol v8. Seems to take an age to warm up. And I live on the top of the Peak District and my journey is down hill so can end up at the station and temp only just registered. Is it the thermostat or just normal.
Can I cover the radiator or do something similar.
Cheers all.

My TDV6 is fully warm after 4 miles at 20-30mph if that helps?

The V8 warms quite quickly so worth checking your thermostat. Feeling with your hands is old school but checking temps with an IR thermometer and comparing them against reported ECT temp via a scan tool will cover all the potential issues.
Never cover the radiator as it does more than cool the engine.

My v8 shows temp reading after just a few km, blower starts blowing warm(er) air after 5 km, this is whilst driving in urban surroundings at no more than 50 kph.

Never thought I'd hear a Land Rover owner with a V8 complain that the engine isn't getting hot.
I would say the thermostat has failed in the open position. You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!
