3.0tdv6 Help

Hi guys,

i Have a 3.0 tdv6 in my 11 RRsport (50k FLSH) which is causing me a nightmare. i noticed it was leaking oil on the drive and thought nothing of it as the oil level wasn't dropping much until one day after a hard 5minute drive it smoked from the passenger side of the engine when stationary ( presuming the oil is burning on the exhaust)

i took it to my local LR garage and they said its the rear Camshaft seal leaking and would be Â£2,200 to repair!

i took it to my local indie who done the following:
Replace LH rear Cam seal & Rocker cover Gasket
Replace Sump Gasket
New Breather tube ( this was not connected)
Belt Kit filters & Oil
The indie said he had never seen a LR with so much oil underneath, caked in oil everywhere and took a day to get it cleaned. The chap did say it would smoke for a a short distance as his hands etc had been in and around.

Â£1500 lighter i went away and after 200 miles 4-5 days i now have a smoking car every time the car is stationary and at normal temp where as before the surgery it had only smoked once. The drive way also shows numourous different drip locations from the underneath of the car but the car is showing that the oil level has not dropped.

Im due back on friday to get the belly pans off and have a look up inside. Any help would be great

i am yes. but if anything the leak has got worse judging by the smoke from the burning oil ( unless there is a serious amount of crap burning under there) I just don't know where really to look as the response i got was "we'll take a look, could be leaking from elsewhere"
