Alarm sounding on opening tailgate |
|
A couple of times recently I've come back to the car and opened the tailgate and as it's opened the alarm has sounded. I've then had to fumble around looking for the key to unlock the car and disable the alarm. (Un)fortunately the alarm is quiet and so I don't get too many looks when in the supermarket and don't wake the neighbours in the morning!
Any ideas what's going on?
Paul.

Tail gate catch not locking/unlocking in the first place? “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

This was common at one point over on Freel2, the cure was a Hard Reset

That's interesting as occasionally my tailgate opens as you touch the door to unlock the car.
Not always obvious until the display tells you and the interior lights stay on

Mine used to do that, a software update performed at it's first service cured it - not happened since but knowing my luck it will probably happen again tomorrow
