I may have found a good option for 17in rims for the D3 & RRS. I hope so anyway as I have just purchased a set and will have them fitted tommorrow with 265/70-17 Goodyear MTR's. The Rims are 17x7.5 rim of the BMW X5. I picked up a set of 4 for $600. They have exact same pitch but have 10mm less offset, so they stck out 10mm wider. I have had a rim fiitted just not with MTRs, so I know rim goes on and clear calipers etc. They requiere different wheel nuts but thay were readily available.
They have the correct load rating and are a quality rim its just there is no market for them, as no one who buty a X5 is interested in of road rubber and hence 17in rims. The base model come standard with the 17's and plenty of people upgrade them for 18, 19 & 20's for upgarded street cred but there is essentially no demand for the 17's untill now! I had people quote me $600 for a set of four.
I will report back on how they go with the MTR's on.
Here is a link to the set I purchased.

Very excitement Horto! I believe that another option is the 17" rim of the Holden Adventra - same everything.
