Lynx Diagnostic tool

Is the Lynx Diagnostic tool for a D4 worth getting. Also where do you connect the cable into the D4.
Also I phoned up about a 80000 service and asked what I got.
Wheels come off and a look round. Plus engine oil change and a filter. Not a mention of Transfer box oil change or a new diesel filter!.
Do you have to bleed the system if you run out of fuel or change the fuel filter?
