Anyone else noticed a very annoying tick tick tick when you have the radio switched to AUX with no Ipod etc connected?
Any ideas, does the CD player rotate all the time?

usually this happens as you have an extension 3.5mm lead plugged into the AUX socket but not into a device. Unplug and the noise goes away, or leave a player/iPod connected.

I had a similar problem.
Even with nothing plugged into the aux I had a ticking sound at high volumes.
I had the head unit replaced. Then the Amp. Then the wiring loom (which took them two days).
Problem went away so I suspect a loose wire somewhere under the seat.

Check if the balance is biased (lower volume on one side). I had a similar problem, it was a poor connection at the AUX input 3.5mm socket.

I've also had it on cd's if they're recorded quietly. I know that the clock is electrical, but the minute changes in time with the tick, but as to why it does it................. Cheap electrics that LR fit!

Mine does this too. Identical. Solution is (as suggested) not to leave it on AUX with nothing connected. ____
