Oily residue in the air hose from top of intercooler

During and inspection by landrover assit there was an oily residue in the top hose from the intercooler has any body come across it and should it be cleaned out including the intercooler

Not unusual, tighten the hose clamp.

Everything is tight was going to take the bottom hose off and see what was down there

My Disco 3 had oil in the inter cooler hose, not a lot but it never smoked.

Oil in there is typical and totally ok. It is a very common question from those who have removed the hose.
